Helping our Hometime Community (April 27)
Over the past month we've been working with our tenants, various government organizations and owners to come up with realistic payment plans, and for those tenants who still needed some help, Hometime assisted by paying outstanding rent balances for those tenants that were severly impacted by COVID-19. If you're a Hometime tenant in need of assistance we're here to help.
On Friday, March 27, the Alberta Government announced that the rules for collecting rent from tenants have been modified to ensure they have time to begin receiving funding from the various Government support initiatives. Hometime is working hard to ensure the impact on our Owners is minimized, while still taking care of your Tenants during this time of uncertainty.
For the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic, Hometime has established a Tenant Relief fund to support our tenants who have suffered financial hardship beyond thse that can be supported by our various government aid programs. To make up the fund, Hometime Property Services Ltd. will use all proceeds from various administration fees it collects and will begin distributing this fund amongst all tenants who qualify for the benefit. To attempt to qualify, tenants must fill out the Hometime Tenant Relief Application Form and successful applicants will be notified of benefit received.
We, unfortunately, won’t be able to provide full relief for all of our tenants, but are working hard to do what we can to support our tenants through their difficult times.

Shift Away from Cash
We have a number of payment options which allow tenants to pay their rent without needing to visit the office. These include:
NEW We're working on even more electronic methods of payment to make sure people can pay their rent from wherever they are, call your agent for more details
Mail in Post Dated Cheques
NOTE: If you are unable to make any of the above payment methods work for your situation, we will still accept cash, Interac Debit Payments, and cheques but a processing fee will be charged and that fee will go directly to the Tenant Relief Fund (see above for more details). If you have suffered finanical hardship due to the COVID-19 outbreak and need to pay your rent at the office, please let our customer care specialist know and your processing fees will be waived.
