Westminster neighbourhood runs from 1 Ave N to 9 Ave N, and from 13 St N to Mayor Magrath Dr N / 23 St N. Shopping, restaurants and other commercial property border 13 St N and Mayor Magrath Dr N / 23 St N. Homes date back as far as 1886 and reach up to the present, with many wartime houses. The neighbourhood is in transition, and revitalization is occurring with numerous infill homes. The Westminster community is home to Westminster Elementary School, Immanuel Christian Elementary School and Galbraith Elementary School. Westminster offers several parks and recreation facilities including Adams Park, Rideau Park, McKillop Soccer Field, baseball diamonds, Westminster Outdoor Pool, and Adams Ice Arena.
North Side Attractions
North Lethbridge is the smallest side of town but bustling with employment, shopping and outdoor activities. In addition to offering some of the lowest rent prices throughout the city it has many outdoor facilities as well as an abundance of big box retail stores.
Situated in the South West corner of Alberta with a beautiful coulee and river bottom separating the city in half. Connecting the two parts of the city is the iconic High Level Bridge. This super-sunny city has a massive urban parks system thanks to a ravine created by the local river. Warm Chinook winds keep winter temperatures on the mild side.
High Level Bridge
The Lethbridge Viaduct, commonly known as the High Level Bridge, was constructed between 1907–1909 at Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada at a cost of $1,334,525.
