Winston Churchill is a large neighbourhood that runs from 13 St N to 23 St N, and from 9 Ave N to 26 Ave N. Park Meadows Shopping Centre can be found on 23 St N and offers restaurants, shops and a convenience store. Winston Churchill is a homogeneous neighbourhood containing homes built primarily in the 1950s, 60s and 70s. It is home to Nord-bridge Seniors Centre, Wilson Middle School and Winston Churchill High School. Its parks include Norbridge Park, Ted Petrunia Park, Dominion Park, Winston Churchill Sportsfield, Vaselenak Park and Vista Park. Winston Churchill also boasts recreational facilities such as Stan Siwik Pool and Labor Club Ice Centre, baseball diamonds, soccer pitches, football fields and lawn bowling.
North Side Attractions
North Lethbridge is the smallest side of town but bustling with employment, shopping and outdoor activities. In addition to offering some of the lowest rent prices throughout the city it has many outdoor facilities as well as an abundance of big box retail stores.
Situated in the South West corner of Alberta with a beautiful coulee and river bottom separating the city in half. Connecting the two parts of the city is the iconic High Level Bridge. This super-sunny city has a massive urban parks system thanks to a ravine created by the local river. Warm Chinook winds keep winter temperatures on the mild side.
High Level Bridge
The Lethbridge Viaduct, commonly known as the High Level Bridge, was constructed between 1907–1909 at Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada at a cost of $1,334,525.
